From Raw Materials to Responsible Innovation
Based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, NanoPoli Centre is a multidisciplinary company founded by materials scientists and communication experts dedicated to advancing innovation and science education. With activities spanning nanomaterials, polymer chemistry, AI, and science communication, NanoPoli bridges research with public understanding, inspiring younger generations and supporting professional growth through training, digital skills, and creative engagement.
NanoPoli’s goal was to expand its role within European research and innovation by addressing the ethical and educational challenges brought by the rise of artificial intelligence. Through this vision, the organisation sought to contribute to projects that combine scientific integrity, digital transformation, and societal impact.
The power of digital literacy
Timbi supported NanoPoli in the RI AI High project, a European initiative tackling the increasing reliance of students on AI-generated content without critical evaluation. Together, we helped strengthen the project’s proposal, ensuring its alignment with EU education and digital priorities, while refining the communication, dissemination, and impact strategies.
The consortium included seven partners from across Europe and Japan, uniting schools, innovation labs, and education experts to promote ethical AI use in classrooms. NanoPoli played a key technical and educational role, contributing to the development of teaching materials, digital tools, and policy recommendations that will shape future approaches to AI literacy and critical thinking.

Building capacity for the next generation
Through this collaboration, NanoPoli aligned its mission with Europe’s broader goals for digital education and responsible innovation. The result is a sustainable framework for AI awareness and an enduring model for “train-the-trainer” education, ensuring long-term impact across schools and institutions.
Enhanced EU proposal design and dissemination strategy
Strengthened role in European digital education initiatives
