From barriers to opportunity

The Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), through its Centre for Entrepreneurial Behaviour Inclusion and Innovation (CEBII) led by Professor Thomas Cooney, brings expertise in inclusive entrepreneurship and integrated support for underrepresented groups. The centre is renowned for multidisciplinary initiatives supporting migrant integration, combining psychosocial care, mentoring, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship education to deliver evidence-based impact.

Creating holistic support networks

Within the WINGS project, TU Dublin and partners address structural, social, and personal barriers faced by migrant and refugee women, including language gaps, non-recognition of qualifications, discrimination, and lack of family-sensitive services. Through EmpowerHer Hubs, women access skills training, mentorship, entrepreneurship pathways, psychosocial support, and family-friendly services, all designed to integrate with local labor markets and community ecosystems.

Timbi supported TU Dublin and the consortium in defining the EU funding strategy, preparing the proposal, and aligning project objectives with Horizon Europe priorities on inclusion, gender equality, and social rights. Our collaboration ensured that the project’s dissemination, impact, and sustainability pathways were clear and actionable.

Building scalable, transnational solutions

WINGS leverages a multilingual digital platform and toolkit, including micro-credentials to formally recognize women’s competencies across Europe. By combining research, co-design, and digital innovation, the project strengthens social and economic integration, builds resilience, and fosters inclusive local ecosystems. This holistic approach provides a scalable model for empowering migrant women and families, supporting EU priorities on inclusion and sustainable social innovation.

  • Designed EU funding strategy and aligned proposal with EU priorities

  • Strengthened consortium capacity in inclusive entrepreneurship and integration

  • Supported digital toolkit and micro-credential deployment across three EU regions
